Here are some of my photos that have either been featured somewhere (online or print) or are some of my personal favorites
I used about 1,500 photos taken with a Lensbaby Edge 80 to make a small time-lapse video of the parade which is currently being featured on the Art Car Parade page. I used the lensbaby Edge 80 tilt functionality to try and simulating the miniature effect you can achieve with a tilt-shift lens.
I love this photo and the story behind how I took it, but also I love the fact that it caught the eye of the press officer for the McDonald Observatory and I donated it to be printed out as their 2011 Holiday card which for me was a huge honor.
This photo got explored on Flickr and attracted a great deal of attention. Actually, so much attention it really weirded me out. Specially considering that I really didn't do much planning around getting this image and it was shot with a point and shoot camera (Coolpix S9100). Guess that proves that the power of an image is not all in the camera used to capture it.
I took this photo at a dress rehearsal of Opera in the Heights, and it got selected to be used as the "cover" image for one of their online reviews.
This is my first (and so far only) picture sold. I got contacted by a design firm based in Washington DC that was decorating a dining room in Houston and they were interested in this picture. Ironically enough, I did got paid for the photo, but I never found out where did the actual print ended up (o even if it was used).
Not only do I love this photo (and this trip!) very much, but it also got published at astromadness.com and it got explored in Flickr.
This picture was explored in Flickr, but I also like it because it gave me an excuse to use an effect I have read about which really helped to put the focus on the subject and to get rid of all the clutter in the background.
